Outlook App on iPhone shows duplicate notifications for emails received

Hi everyone,

Hopefully someone can help.

Every time I receive an email, the outlook app sends me two notifications, as if I've received two emails. I'd like only one notification per email.

I have no clue why this is happening, I've got the latest version of the Outlook app, on an iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Look forward to resolving this with someones help!

EDIT: Here's a screenshot to show you what it's like for the one email I got when I signed up to this site.

Hi George,

This is Marc, an Independent Advisor and Microsoft user just like you.

I can't imagine how frustrating this issue might be for you but let me try to help you sort this out.

It seems like the notification issue is being caused by both the Outlook app and iOS settings having both notification settings turned on. Can you try going into your Outlook app and disable the Notifications on the settings?

You can also check the the thread below for your reference.

Please let me know if this information helps. Thank you.

Thanks for getting back to me with that. Unfortunately, turning off Notifications within the app just seems to disable notifications entirely. I've checked and it's Notifications are still "On" in the iPhone settings.

Any other ideas?

You're getting two notifications, not 2 copies?  What is the phone OS?  Check the notification settings (in the phone's settings) - is it set to notify 1 min later?

The firmware on my iPhone is 13.5.1, the latest update. Same for the app, it's up to date.

That's correct, two notifications, not two copies. When I actually go into my email, there is only one copy in there.

I've had a look at iPhone notification settings and there is no "notify 1 min later" setting, it's just either "on" or "off".
