Outlook 365 Calendar and Outlook Android App Sync Issues

Hi,

I'm trying very hard to have a single reliable calendar to assist with running my life; then allow a single mobile phone access to help me keep track of things on the go, but I'm failing :(

I'm using Office 365 and the Microsoft Outlook app together with a Windows 10 laptop and recently purchased Samsung S8+.

On the laptop I've added all Australian Holidays to the Outlook 365 calendar (great), then linked my Facebook Events and Birthdays (again great).  The Outlook 365 Laptop program is perfect, with the use of the overlap view function allowing consolidation of the three calendars into one :)

Moving to the Microsoft Outlook app on the S8+, and things start to get messy. The Facebook calendars are showing as active within the app, however the events don't actually populate in the Calendar.

So I've uninstalled then reinstalled the mobile app, and well I'm out of ideas.

What am I doing wrong?

Regards

Jay

In MS Outlook, desktop component, File>Options have you set workdays for Mon-Fri only? as in your mobile calendar S & S are both unavailble

Hi and Thanks for trying to solve my problem.

I tried your suggestion and unfortunately it didn't work.

Perhaps I need to clarify my issue. The desktop App works fine, but the Mobile App "Microsoft Outlook" is where I am having the sync issue.

I should be able to create an event on my laptop/desktop then have the Mobile App sync.  Also, I should be able to accept an event on Facebook and the event should flow through to Desktop Outlook, then my Mobile would sync and pickup the same event.

I admit there are a lot of "should" in the above, but to me this is what its all about.

Cheers

Jay

Thanks for the number of options your option provided, however there is still no calendar sync.

I have done the following in the Outlook App:

1) Reset my Account

2) Deleted my Account

3) Allowed access to contacts, calendar, location etc.

4) Tried a manual configuration of the account (Exchange, IMAP)

5) Reset my phone

6) Deleted the App and reinstalled

I haven't wiped my phone to reinstall everything - this is a big job!

Any other options would be great.

Precisely the same problem here. Very buggy sync between Outlook on Windows and Outlook on Android.

Did you find a fix?

Yes I eventually did.

There was help provided by Office where they identified I wasn't using the latest version of the app.  Don't ask me how that happened, but eventually everything synced works fine.  It was a real first effort though.

Very rarely to I have to reset the account on my phone, but its really easy to do and has fixed subsequent issues.

Just keep working with the Office Support people and you will get there.
