Outlook 2019 Calendar Meeting Invites Format Issue

We have an issue that when we received a meeting invites from our client that was send using Skype for Business we can see the invites in correct HTML format on message but once we accept the meeting and go to the Calendar and open that specific meeting the format is on plain text. Also, when we forward the meeting invites to another user. Once, we hit forward the HTML format is gone and it converts to plain text. 

Please note that we are using the Office 365 version of 2019 and this sames issue happens on Outlook 2016. We are using G Suite Sync to sync our emails to Outlook.

Any help is appreciated.

Sorry for the late reply.

For the start, please try to open your Outlook client - Control panel> Programs> Programs and features> select Office 365 (2016)> Change> Repair> Quick repair.

If the issue persists, please help me to better understand the issue with additional information:

  • Screenshots of the plane text format from the calendar would be useful.
  • Do you have just Gmail account configured in your Outlook clients?
  • If not, please test whether the issue persists with another (Office 365) account.

Hi Jeffry, 

Please export the invite message in .msg file (drag from inbox - drop to desktop). After you upload the message to OneDrive, Google, etc, please send me the URL via Private message. After I open the message, I hope I'll have more information about the issue.

Meanwhile, please ask the the client to send you a request to a different email in Outlook (different tenant, Exchange if it's possible). Check whether the other recipients have the same issue. 

Also, please check whether the issue persists if you open the event from online calendar (webmail).

Hello,

I will send you via PM the .msg. 

When logging in to Gmail (web browser) the format and links are showing fine. Only when viewing it on Outlook this issue happens.

Hi Jeffry,   

For the further troubleshooting, please check whether the issue persists if you disable  Webex meeting add-in in your Outlook desktop client. After you receive and accept the meeting check how does it appears in your Outlook calendar.

Hi Nemanja,

The user doesn't have any Webex meeting add-in on her Outlook. Only GoToMeeting and Skype Meeting.

Before you accept next meeting, please start Outlook in Safe Mode to disable all add ins and check whether the issue persists.
