Hi Guys,
Some of the executives have reported that when they get calendar invites, they are not able to preview it in outlook 2010.
This is the message they receive:
"this item contains active content that cannot be displayed in the reading pane"
In order to troubleshoot this problem, I have done the following:
1. Run Outlook 2010 in safe mode
2. Deleted all personal forms from Outlook 2010
3. Tried to send calendar invites in different ways with different data (attachments, websites, embedded graphics, plain text)
4. Tried to send a calendar invites with location room and without location room
5. Tried to send a calendar invite with no reminders
None of the above worked.
Please also note we use pictures within outlook. So all staff upload pictures into SharePoint profile and they get integrated into outlook.
I have been testing this issue with a user that initiates this problem, send she sends the invite to me, and I get the message above. I tried to send her a new calendar invite the same way but she doesnt get that error message. The only difference I can see is the outlook picture. I dont have one but she does... I have removed her picture from SharePoint and will test shortly, just need it to replicate to her outlook..
But has anyone seen this issue before? its driving me nuts and the executives are getting frustrated.
New notes:
1. All domain accounts on a domain network
2. Exchange setup
3. Happening to a few senders
Thanks!!
This is the first time I've come across this so any help would be much appreciated.
