Office 365 Calendar Not Syncing

Hi,

I have shared 2 office 365 calendars, one of them is syncing perfectly but the other one does not sync. I have tried all the methods.

Calendar 1 Syncing

Permission Only View

Calendar 2 ( NOT SYNCING)

Permission Only View

Full Rights......

1. Removed Cached option so that it always should show the live data.. but did not worked.

2. Removed .pst file and then re generated.... did not worked

3. Defined the Send & Receive Groups and included the calendar... Did not worked

4. Removed and added many times.....

Can anybody help me with a solution.

Hello  Rajeev,

Can you confirm this issue on the Outlook Web App (OWA)? Meanwhile, please try sharing this problematic calendar via OWA to check the issue.

Also, check if you find any report in the Sync Issues Folder by following steps mentioned below and post back the same:

a) Open Outlook > press Ctrl + 6 keys to change the view to folders list.

b) Now go to Sync Issues folder and check if you’re able to find any report.

Moreover, please update the Outlook version to the latest one to check the issue. if issue persists, provide us the detailed version of Outlook.

Regards,

Rudy

Can you confirm this issue on the Outlook Web App (OWA)? Meanwhile, please try sharing this problematic calendar via OWA to check the issue.

Let me make the scenario more clear to you.

The admin create a calendar and share it with USER A, USER B with Full rights.

USER A & B gets the intimation of sharing via an email that the calendar has been shared with them with a link in it.

On clicking the link a .ics file is downloaded, on double clicking the .ics file a shared calendar is added to outlook application on the computer. entries are sync with the main calendar post this the entries never get sync.

On the other side I have another calendar shared wih the same scenario but that get updated on a regular interval. The only difference is that only Admin can add entries and rest of the user can view.

Second the mail received by user of sharing of calendar had a link with webcal://  which added the calendar directly without downloading the .ics file, whereas the the problematic calendar had http://followed by address and downloaded the .ics file.

Also, check if you find any report in the Sync Issues Folder by following steps mentioned below and post back the same:

a) Open Outlook > press Ctrl + 6 keys to change the view to folders list.

b) Now go to Sync Issues folder and check if you’re able to find any report.

I did this step but the folder was empty

Moreover, please update the Outlook version to the latest one to check the issue. if issue persists, provide us the detailed version of Outlook.

I have got tested the same on all the version of outlook but did not helped.

Regards,

Rudy

Hello Rajeev,

Thanks for your reply.

May I know you share the calendar using Publish this calendar feature? Since in this way we can get a Http: link:

If not, please clarify the steps about how to share the calendar in details.

Also, about the sync issue, please run the Outlook in the safe mode to exclude any add-in cause this issue. And, try create a new profile to check the issue .

Hi,

Sorry for delay in replying.  The sharing is done by accessing the web office 365 calendar.

The machine which had the problem  got resolved on one of the machine by removing and reassign the rights and sharing the calendar again.

Though the action was done for both the user only one user problem got resolved.

Only difference in the environment is that the user which is having problem is using vista and Outlook 2007 but over here also one calendar is working perfectly.

Regards,

Rajeev

Hello Rajeev,

May I know whether the OWA has this issue as I mentioned above? If OWA also works well, this issue may be the sync issue.

For sync issue, we can try resetting our Office 365 account on Outlook 2007, creating a new profile , or turning off the Cache Exchange Mode to resolve it.

However, we strongly encourage you to use the Outlook 2016 for the normal usage,  since the Outlook 2007 had stopped supporting.

Your understanding is appreciated.

Rudy
