Here are some further details on my problem:
Hi. Starting randomly about 6 months ago my Hotmail email account did not receive any junk mail. First noticed when the usual daily dose of junk ceased and then people expecting responses from me to their emails contacting to see why I hadn't responded.
Seems to be happening only from senders I have had no previous email contact with, but not all which seems to suggest there is some filter active.
Also, of the emails that I know of to have not been received, none of them would have be in my Blocked Senders list.
I access my Hotmail account through my browser, Chrome but have also had the problem accessing through Firefox.
1. I have tried both the Standard and Exclusive filters- no change
2. There are no Rules in operation
3. I can send an email to myself (a suggested workaround)
4. I have posed the question on the Microsoft Community, *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, no joy.
5. I have been through the Microsoft checklist: Filters and Reporting Inbox/Options/Filters and reporting and tried all alternatives
6. I deleted all my Blocked Senders List.
