New Contacts: arbitrary birthday and anniversary of 1/1/1601 automatically added

Hello,

When I add a new contact, after a few moments the contact info is automatically updated with an arbitrary birthday and anniversary of 1/1/1601.  I am unable to delete the birthday and anniversary from Outlook People (Preview).  This also causes an issue viewing the contact from Outlook 2013.  If the birthday and anniversary of 1/1/1601 is present, the People Pane view of Outlook 2013 does not show the contact info.  The view must be changed to List View, then open the contact , click on Details and delete the birthday and anniversary.  Once done, the contact then shows correctly in the People Pane view of Outlook 2013.

The birthday and anniversary of 1/1/1601 is automatically added if the contact is created from Outlook People (Preview) and from Outlook 2013.  Even with Outlook 2013 closed out, the birthday and anniversary is still added when the new contact is created from Outlook People (Preview).

Thanks,

Dustin

1.) I have an iPhone synced to this account.  However, I've tested this with the iPhone powered off and the birthday and anniversary are still inserted.  The only common denominator so far is Outlook People (Preview).

2.)There are no social networks connected to the account.

Thanks,
Dustin

Hi,

Thank you for your response.

Are you using the built-in mail app or Outlook.com app for IPhone?

However, I would suggest you to remove the account from the app, create a test contact and check if you still face the issue.

Awaiting your response.

I am having the same issue too. Birthday & Anniversary automatically added (January 1, 1601).

No option to delete it. For the web page too I am getting only the option for personal web page.

I am getting these while adding via the web. haven't tried via any app.

Regards,

Vijay.
