My outlook email has stopped receiving new emails, how do I fix this?

The other day, my outlook email randomly deleted about 1.5 months of emails. They were not moved to another file or deleted. I was on the phone with Microsoft for an hour and they couldn't find them anywhere. But its weird because my other outlook emails were fine.

I am getting only advertisement emails now such as Home Depot, Friedmans, etc. But I am not receiving any emails from ones I actually need to respond to. I have sent emails from my other email to this one and have not received them. I set up forwarding to my other email so that I can get them that way.

I have gone through the rules, settings, etc. and nothing is working. This is not working on different browsers, my phone, or the outlook app. I have signed out and signed back in.

Hello, Wade_445.

Welcome to the Microsoft Community Forum!

From the description you have provided you've suddenly stopped receiving new emails on your email account.

This issue may be caused by e-mail account settings that need to be changed. Or it may also be a problem with the Internet connection or computer you are using to send and receive emails. So, let's work together as a team to get to the bottom of this. But to better assist you I need to ask:

1) What's the domain of your email account? I don't need the actual email address. I just need to know if it's @Outlook.com or @Gmail.com or @Yahoo.com or something else.

2) From the device where you are experiencing this issue, can you tell me if you’re getting all green checkmarks when visiting the following link?

https://portal.office.com/ServiceStatus

3) While accessing your email account from your web browser, can you send an email top yourself and see if you get it without any issues?

4) If you tried logging in to your email account using a web browser on a different device than the one you are using right now and does the same issue occur when you send yourself an email?

Hope to hear from you soon.

Respectfully,

The domain is comcast.net.

I tried signing in using my smart phone and a sign in box appeared and the password was missing, but it would not allow me to put it in.
