My Email Accounts Disappeared

Hello, I need your help with my email accounts.

I have been using three outlook email accounts. One primary email account that I have been using daily, and two other accounts that I had used occasionally. I can log into my primary account in Outlook and see the two other email accounts there as folders, but these accounts have stopped receiving emails. For one of them all emails have disappeared, for the other one I can still see the old emails, all the way until 9/15/2023. When I try to log into these two email accounts on outlook.com, the message says that the accounts do not exists, and same thing happened when I have tried the email recovery feature. I have sent two test emails to them and they both came back as "mailbox unavailable".

Why did these accounts disappeared and how can I get access to them?

Dear PeterToplak

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community

We are sorry to learn about the problem you are experiencing with your email accounts!

According to your description, when you log in to your 2 occasional email accounts on the web side, you receive a message that the account does not exist, which is a problem with the disappearance of emails received under the corresponding 2 email accounts in the outlook application.

This happens because your these 2 accounts are inactive for a long period of time and hence your account is closed due to inactivity. Please understand that the data associated with this email account is therefore also inaccessible!

Please know that you must log in to your Microsoft account at least once during the biennium to keep your account active. If you do not log in during this period, Microsoft will consider your account inactive.

I wish you all the best

Linda, thanks for your response, but unfortunately, it does not explain what has happened. I did log into these emails during the past two years! These accounts were linked in Outlook to my main email account, and I was checking the emails on these accounts periodically. This is evidenced by the fact I can still see emails that were read at least as recently as 9/15/2023, but I do think there were emails there and read even after that date. In, addition, before deletion of any account, should not have Microsoft sent a warning email that the accounts will be deleted? There is no such email in my inbox.

A somewhat unrelated observation: I think that is a very poor form, that your response from *** Email address is removed for privacy *** address has landed in my Junk email folder! I think Microsoft should be able to do better than this!

Dear PeterToplak

Thank you for your reply.

Your two e-mail addresses may have been hacked, if the hacker hacked your account, he can add an alias to your account and then change the alias he added to the main alias, then your account will become an alias under the hacker's account, if the hacker deletes the alias at this time, your account will cease to exist, so your e-mails will disappear in relation to the hacker's operation, you can no longer send and receive e-mails from your account, and when logging in, it will also show your account! You cannot send or receive emails from your account anymore, and your account does not exist when you log in. You can click the link below, enter the cell phone number or email address you used when you registered your account before, and then check back to see if there is any query result, if it shows an unfamiliar account or no result, it's most likely invaded by a hacker!
