Microsoft Account language NOT in english

Dear All,

I am getting the e-mails from *** Email address is removed for privacy *** in Arabic language. Also, when I try to login to sites commerce.microsoft.com, the default language shows up is also in Arabic.

Even though I live in UAE, I believe the default settings are in Arabic as well. I want to change it to English as default in all the communication emails and Microsoft web sites. I have tried many mediums but I don't seem to resolve this issue, specially the emails coming in language other than English is seriously annoying.

Kindly give me any suggestions or solutions to resolve this issue. Your response will be highly appreciated.

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.

This issue may occur if the "Languages" you use to read website are not in order. I would suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

  1. Open "Internet Explorer" and on the top right corner, click on "Gear" icon.
  2. Click on "Internet Option" and click on "Languages". Refer screenshot below.
  4. Once you click on "Languages", click on "Set Language Preferences".
  5. In "Changes your language preference" screen, move "English (United States)" to top. Refer screenshot below.

Important: Once language preference is set, close above screen and click on "Apply" and "OK" to close "Internet Explorer properties".

Note: Changes to Language Preferences will take effect after restarting the browser. Once finished try to reload the website and check if issue is resolved.

Dear Sir,

Thanks for your quick response. As I believe this solution applies to the websites. But I am receiving emails in Arabic as well. I tried to check the settings in the account and everything but I don't seem to get any legit solution.
