I use Microsoft Outlook for my email Hotmail.com account and it had been working fine for the most part.
The email account is accessed on various devices - 2 pc's, 2 laptops, ipad and 2 iphones.
I have a McAfee Total Protection subscription on the devices and am running Windows 10 Pro on the PC's and laptops.
I my email I have a junk folder. A while ago a sub folder appeared under the inbox named McAfee Anti-spam folder. Most of the spam mail has gone into the junk folder with the odd one ending up in the Anti-spam folder.
Recently though a lot of previously received non-spam emails to the Inbox (various, non-consecutive emails from 2019 to Feb 2021) have "moved" to the McAfee Anti-spam folder with [SPAM] now in the in the subject line. I had tried to move the items back to the Inbox, they would move but then reappear in the Anti-spam folder. When this occurred some of the emails reappeared with another SPAM in the subject line. (ie. One email now has 6 SPAMS in the subject).
I have moved them again today and they seem to have stayed in the Inbox at the moment except for 2 of them. When I select the Anti-spam folder it appears empty at first but there is a note that states "There are more items in this folder on the server", I select the link that says "Click here to view more on Microsoft Exchange" and the two emails appear.
I do not want to delete the folder yet until I'm confident that the emails are well and truly out of that folder.
