Inserting a picture into a Table Cell in Outlook

I am having trouble inserting a picture into a created Table cell in Outlook. I used to be able to do this all the time at any time... and now every time I try to, the picture is inserted in to the email message body outside of the created Table completely... How do I fix this?

Hi Ryan,

Greetings. Thanks for choosing Microsoft community.

In view of your question, I have some suggestions. First of all, when you insert a picture into a table cell, the picture should be resized. Because pictures and other types of attachments can vary in size.

It is easy to insert a picture in a way that allows you to move, resize and filter the Cell. As you do this the picture will automatically move.

All in all, I suggest you re-size your picture manually before you insert it into a table cell, so it can fit perfectly.

Best regards,

Rebecca

Thank you for your reply, Rebecca.

I have already attempted to do everything you have outlined. Even a very small image will not insert into the table cell. It always inserts outside of the table, regardless of size.

Any other ideas on how to trouble shoot this?

Thank you,

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

To answer your question, I want to know what did you do when you insert your image. Did you do as the below?

In general, you may click inside the cell where you want to position the picture file.

And then, click the insert tab, click images in the illustrations group and use the insert images dialog to find and insert the image.

Another way, would you please send me your image as the private message to me? Here is the link to private message: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/privatemessage/inbox.  I will have a test to insert your image into the table cell.

Sincerely,

Rebecca
