I want to get my Hotmail through my Yahoo Mail

For years, I used to get my Hotmail, mail, via Yahoo Mail. Late week it stopped doing that.

I went to the Yahoo Mail account, deleted the Hotmail account, and reinstalled it.

It took forever to sync, (if it ever did) and it does show up on the drop-down list of email accounts in Yahoo Mail. It will let me SEND email through my Hotmail account but will not RECEIVE any emails.

The instruction I get from Yahoo Mail is to go into Outlook and allow Yahoo Mail to access my mail. I looked and looked; bit see no way on how to do this.

Any help setting this back up will be very much appreciated.

If you are using a Mail Client, simply add the hormail account as a new mail account

Hi, my name is Kelly, and I'm an independent consultant and I'm here to help.

To allow Yahoo Mail to access your Hotmail account in Outlook, you can try the following steps:

Open Outlook.com in a web browser and sign in with your Hotmail account credentials.
Click on the gear icon in the top right corner and select "View all Outlook settings".
In the Settings window, select "Mail" from the left-hand menu.
Scroll down and select "Sync email".
Under "Connected accounts", click on "Add a connected account".
Enter your Yahoo Mail email address and follow the prompts to complete the setup.
After completing these steps, Yahoo Mail should be able to access your Hotmail account in Outlook. If you still have trouble receiving emails in Yahoo Mail, you may need to check your Yahoo Mail settings to ensure that they are configured correctly for accessing your Hotmail account.

If you're using the Microsoft Edge browser and cannot find the "Connected accounts" feature in the Sync settings, there are a few potential explanations:

The feature may not be available on your version of Edge: The "Connected accounts" feature was introduced in the Chromium-based version of Microsoft Edge in early 2021. If you're using an older version of Edge, the feature may not be available.

Your account may not be eligible for the feature: "Connected accounts" allows you to sync your browser data across multiple devices and services, but not all accounts may be eligible for this feature. For example, if you're using a work or school account, your organization's IT policies may restrict or disable certain Sync features.

There may be a temporary issue with your account or the Edge browser: If you've confirmed that you're using a compatible version of Edge and your account is eligible for the "Connected accounts" feature, it's possible that there may be a temporary issue with the browser or your account. You may want to try restarting the browser, clearing your cache and cookies, or signing out and back in to your Microsoft account to see if that resolves the issue.

If none of these suggestions help, you may want to check the Microsoft Edge support site or community forums for more information or contact Microsoft support directly for further assistance.
