i can't login aol mail to outlook mail

Enter the aol password and click Show more.

Please check that the following configurations are correct:

IMAP Incoming server: imap.aol.com; Port: 993; Secure connection type: SSL / TLS

Outgoing server: smtp.aol.com; Port: 465; Secure connection type: SSL / TLS

If it requires a SMTP password, you may follow the guide provided by aol to generate it. Select Continue. Do you successfully set up your account?

If you're still having trouble connecting your AOL email account to Outlook, you can click Select provider and try using the POP protocol instead.

Thanks for your prompt reply and the screenshot you provided.

You are encountering this error because your password is not accepted.

Remember: You need to enter a randomly generated app password, not the password you use to log into your aol account Add an email account to Outlook for Windows - Microsoft Support.

You'll need to go to your email provider to get the app password, follow steps:

1. Sign in to mail.aol.com

2. Go to your AOL Profile section and select the Account Info option

3. From the left navbar, click on Account Security and click on Generate App Password

4. From the App Password popup screen, select Outlook and click on the Generate button

5. Note down or copy the generated app password

6. Enter the password in Outlook to set up your account.

cany get to acct

I don't understand a damn thing you people are saying. All I know is I cannot open my AOL account

which I have had for at least 30 years. I know nothing about Microsoft 365 or imap. I want to get to

my AOL account.

I'm not sure how I found this place. If you reply, I hope, I can find this place again.
