How to reset Outlook (new)

Hi, I'm Diane and I'm happy to help you today. You are using the new Outlook that is replacing windows mail? Reset the app: Open Windows Settings > Apps. Find Outlook (New) under installed apps and click the dots to the right of the name and choose Advanced options- then Reset. This may resync the folders. If you want to remove the old profile, close the new Outlook, open the Run command (Windows key + R) and type or paste this command line. No! It still remember previous settings.

What i did was:

Reset >

olk.exe --clearLocalState >

uninstall >

Install >

olk.exe --clearLocalState >

open Outlook (new)

Outlook was blank and without any account, but as only I linked accounts, all the settings and favorites have returned and folder is still missing.

remove the account from Outlook - when it asks if you want to remove it from all devices, say yes. The new Outlook stores the mail in the Microsoft cloud and if you use the account in Outlook mobile or Outlook for mac, they share the cloud storage. Removing or resetting the profile in any of the accounts doesn't remove the cloud storage. Saying yes, remove from all devices does. You will need to add it back on all devices.

I need to do this for another issue with notifications and the reminder window but I don't see the option to remove from all devices. Any specific steps on how this is done?

not sure if you're still having issues, but you could try using /cleanviews switch to launch new outlook.

olk.exe /cleanviews

When I send a email from my outlook account another name also appers

When I send a email someone else's name also appears

If someone else's name appears, that implies your organization re-used an old User Principal Name when they created your account and you see the old account's information.
