How to install stand-alone Outlook 2016 on a new laptop

I purchased a new Windows 10 laptop and installed my personal version of Office 2016 using the license key recorded in my Microsoft account. I also have a stand-alone license and product key for Outlook 2016 but can't figure out how to load it onto the new laptop. I do not see how to enter this product key - which is different than the Office 2016 product key - through my Microsoft account.

Hi. I'm Brian and I will do my best to help you.

Which Office 2016 suite did you license? Is it Office Home and Student? That suite doesn't include Outlook so an additional license would be required. Otherwise, could you use the Outlook included with the suite?

What happens if you log into https://setup.office.com/?ms.officeurl=setup using the address with which you purchased the Outlook 2016 license? That should allow you to register the product key with that account.
