How to disable Microsoft Editor?

If I go to Microsoft Editor settings, there are a few preferences on how it works, but how do I disable the feature entirely? The idea of a computer telling me how to write is something I find quite abhorrent.

Hi Jamie, if you open up outlook and start an email, you can go to 'editor settings'.  it's located along the bottom next to the emoticon smiley face, there is a 'pen' type icon with 3 lines.  Left click on that and you can turn on/off either spell check or grammar check.

EDIT - I say that's where it is, but I'm using the old layout.  Look for the pen type icon and that should be where you can switch them on/off.

I think white is off.  Try making a grammatical error and see what happens.

I've just checked and white is off.  As an aside, if you click on the arrow next to 'Spelling' or 'Grammar', you can select (via a drop down menu) which errors it highlights.

I still don't like it however and it can remain OFF.
