I understand that this question has been posed before, and I have looked through all the responses, but I still have not found the answer.
This is what my Outlook (previously hotmail) Inbox looks like. The background is a picture of the Northern lights (Auroura Borealis). It doesn't come through nicely in the attached gif below, but it looks better on my screen. I have no idea how this background appeared - I believe I must have chosen it years ago during the Hotmail era.
The problem is now, you can see that the emails are impossible to read. It isn't just for the Inbox - every single email has this background, so it makes reading my emails a very unpleasant experience.
This is what I've tried:
(1) - Gear button in top right
-> Change Theme
Doesn't work. This just changes the colour of the top bar, which is pointless.
(2) Gear button in top right
-> Options
-> Message options
Doesn't work. This has nothing to do with background.
(3) Gear button in top right
-> Options
-> Layout
-> Message format, Email signature, etc.
Nothing helps.
Does anyone have a way to get rid of that background, and make it either a simple white or black background, where I can actually read the font?
