Hi Tim Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community. I will be happy to help. I am a user just like you and only trying to advice/ assist in a best possible way I could resolve your issue. To add your **aol.com** email to Outlook, you can use either the POP or IMAP protocol. Here are the steps to add your AOL email account to Outlook using the IMAP protocol: 1. Open Outlook and click on the "File" tab. 2. Click on "Add Account" under the "Account Information" section. 3. Enter your **aol.com** email address and click on the "Connect" button. 4. Select "IMAP" as the account type and enter the following server settings: - Incoming mail server (IMAP): **imap.aol.com** - Outgoing mail server (SMTP): **smtp.aol.com** - Username: Your full email address - Password: Your AOL Mail password 5. Click on the "More Settings" button and select the "Outgoing Server" tab. 6. Check the box next to "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" and select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server". 7. Click on the "Advanced" tab and enter the following port settings: - Incoming server (IMAP): **993** - Use the following type of encrypted connection: **SSL** - Outgoing server (SMTP): **465** - Use the following type of encrypted connection: **SSL** 8. Click on the "OK" button to save the changes. 9. Click on the "Next" button and wait for Outlook to test the account settings. 10. If the test is successful, click on the "Close" button and then click on the "Finish" button. "in this AOL article (https://help.aol.com/articles/how-do-i-use-other-email-applications-to-send-and-receive-my-aol-mail)">https://help.aol.com/articles/how-do-i-use-other-email-applications-to-send-and-receive-my-aol-mail) are the required server settings for setting up aol.com mail account on outlook app" If you're still having trouble connecting your AOL email account to Outlook, you can try using the POP protocol instead. "You can find the POP server settings for AOL Mail on the [AOL Help](https://help.aol.com/articles/how-do-i-use-other-email-applications-to-send-and-receive-my-aol-mail) page." I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions. 😊 Best regards -Adedayo
