Hotmail won't load, persistent problem

For more than a week now, I'm having trouble loading my hotmail account on my Mac - in both Firefox and Safari. Most of the time the Outlook loading sign shows but lingers and doesn't progress to my inbox, other times it doesn't even get that far. On occasion, mostly after trying 10 or 20 times, it does open.

I've looked for suggestions online, and the main one I found was the 'clear one's cache' - I've done this in firefox, and this seemed to make it go a bit smoother, but in no time the problem would recur as badly as before.

Someone else gave me the tip to log out rather than close the tab every time I'm done with my email, but this also didn't solve anything.

How can I solve this? By now the problem is becoming a persistent hindrance so bad that it seriously makes me think of switching from hotmail to another email provider after 15 years.

Thanks for any help,

Jelle

Let me add to that a secondary problem that has occurred several times in these same weeks once I do get into my inbox.

Firstly, the interface is slow to load, and some functions fail to work (e.g. searching in emails).

Secondly, far more importantly, and something that just happened to me again, I compose an email, send it, everything seems to work as it should, and then later I find out the email did NOT send at all, nor was it saved!!

I have a Mac and mine won't load either.  It goes to a white screen saying it's loading but it doesn't.  Been doing it for about 2 weeks at least.  I am with Jelle and if not corrected will have to look for another email provider.

I am having the same problem as listed not able to load the inbox page. It stalls out. I am able to sneak in through MSN and then clicking on outlook and a current email but only once in a while.
