Hotmail - Cannot connect to server

Hi,

Since this morning my hotmail refuses to open and says that there is an error with outlook (using both web browsers chrome and IE). On my ipad it says that the connection to server failed. I don't know if this is a temporary problem or i've been blocked. Initially I thought my account was being hacked so I changed all security information and password. I even opitmised all my web browsers. It still fails to connect to my mail. This is extremely frustrating as I use my hotmail account a lot on a daily basis and I have been using it for 8 years without a problem until now.

I can access my other hotmail account without any problem so far, this server connection problem seems to be only affecting this hotmail account i am using right now.

Can someone help me out please?  Is there a microsoft hotline I can call to?

the hotmail and outlook teams are not responding to anyone about the problems.  Surely there is a way to contact support.  This site is merely a message board.  Not a support site

I sincerely apologize for not being able to answer your concern in a timely manner.

 

From what I understand your issue, you're not able to access your account. Let's see what we could do to resolve this issue.  

 

The issue when accessing emails should be resolved by now. Some may still encounter an error on mobile. Also for added info, you could go to https://status.live.com for further updates.

 

Please let us know if you are still are unable to access your account through web.

I am intermittently having Microsoft Outlook cannot connect to server with my 2013 Outlook version.  2010 works fine and I can access it via Explorer???

I've been unable to access email on my Blackberry Playbook since the 15th.  When I refresh it looks as though the email program is looking for new emails but comes back showing none.  

I know there are lots of new emails since the 15th because I can still do email from my laptop and recently have again been able to get email on my iPhone again.

The "Service Status" page from Microsoft says all issues have been solved, but clearly they have not.

Checked status shows everything OK on the status.live.com, website, however, I'm only able to access my Hotmail account on a pc with windows 10. My android phone gets "cannot connect to server" even after deleting resetting settings and deleting the account and re-installing. I have a third device, a tablet  that has the same cannot connect to server message. Att.net email updates with no issues on this device. All issues occurred after I changed password on Microsoft store site. Have since done multiple password resets, but nothing has resolved. Any suggestions other than ditch Microsoft and go google?
