Font sizes too small in To: Cc: Subject: fields of Outlook

I'm running Office 365. Recently, the font size in the To: Cc: and Subject: fields of Outlook appears to have shrunk!

It is now about 5pt or 6pt and difficult to read. I don't know what changed it (update?) but it is painful to read.

I've been able to adjust just about every other font size in Outlook, but not these. Does anyone know if there is a way to make them bigger?

PLEASE NOTE, I am NOT asking about changing sizes in the email body, or in the Mail List view.  Specifically the To, Cc, Subject, etc fields when composing a new (or reply) email.

Hi Icargilltas,

Unfortunately there is no option in Outlook to change the font in the To/Cc/Bcc fields or even the address book. The Outlook interface design configuration is with the mail servers.

If your current Outlook profile has been corrupted, you may try a workaround. This is by creating a new profile with all the data copied from the old Outlook. Kindly follow the method on how to do it on this article, Create an Outlook profile.

Kindly post back and share with us the result.

Hello Rey,

I have the same problem. Except it is also the fonts in the columns and rows. It started with the June 2018 feature update Version 1806 (Build 10228.20080) I just got. They're still set to the same 8pt. Segoe UI that they were before, but now they are shrunk. I didn't notice it on the To:, Cc: and Bcc: until I searched on here and read the OP's post.

How do I revert?

Hi Ron,

We appreciate the information about the recent update, June 2018 feature update Version 1806 (Build 10228.20080). Initially, we recommend that you check the reply provided by Diane Poremsky (Outlook MVP) on this thread, Outlook, Office 365 version 1806 Build 10228.20080 and tabs (W10 17692.rs_prerelease. 180609-1317). Kindly follow the steps provided.

If the above will not work, we suggest that you roll back to the previous version of Office. Please follow the steps on the article below to know how:

Keep us updated with the status of the issue and we'll be glad to assist you further.

I also had that problem, but solved it using Views. You can edit the view of a folder (e.g. Inbox) to bigger font, then apply the current view to all folders. I think the relevant links that I used were:

https://www.eui.eu/ServicesAndAdmin/ComputingService/EMail/GuideHowResizeFonts

https://www.msoutlook.info/question/applying-custom-view-settings-to-all-folders-at-once

Sent Items is a different View style, so I had to do that separately.

Thanks Ian. But that's not a solution, it's just a workaround. And, it does nothing for the small fonts on the To:, Cc: and Bcc: fields or the Send button. But see my other post in this forum, I did find a solution in another thread.

It's definitely a software defect with the most recent update, the solution is to roll back to the deferred release channel.

The following command solved it for me;

officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.9126.2259

Small font fix

The solution give by Gabriel worked initially. However, after half an hour, it reverted back to original on its own. Tried a few times.

Definitely Outlook got a problem with recent update.

Yes, yes, yes. When Outlook 2016 was updated a couple of weeks ago, suddenly certain fonts in the interface became way too small. The worst is the actual message list for areas like the Inbox and Sent Items, but other areas are also small, like To, Cc, and Subject in new messages. Please fix this soon as it's really bothering me when using Outlook.
