File menu missing in Outlook for Mac

I am using Outlook 2022 on Mac. I wanted to transfer the pst-Files from Microsoft Outlook to the Mac. For that all recommendations indicate that I need to open the "file menu" and select the import command.

Unfortunately, I do not see a menu tag "File". Can you tell me what I need to do?

Regards

Sanjay

Hello Sanjay

I'm Diane, an M365 Apps & Services MVP specializing in Outlook and I’m happy to help you today.

You should have a file menu - but import / export are disabled. It's in the menu bar, is not a tab like in windows version.

You can only import into the legacy outlook at this time - and only into an on my computer folder, which is not supported in the New Outlook.

To switch to legacy, click on the outlook app menu and choose new outlook - this will deselect it and switch to legacy.
