Error in Outlook 2016

i've encountered a fatal error in outlook 2016. all of a sudden an error prompt up saying that outlook cannot log on. verify you are connected to the network and are using the proper server and mailbox name. the microsoft exchange information service in your profile is missing required information. modify your profile to ensure that you are using the correct microsoft exchange information service.

i had to reconfigure the outlook to make it work and had to wait to let outlook sycnronize fully.

the workaround is tried is time consuming, is there any workaround which doesn't required to reconfigure the outlook ?

As the error states, the Microsoft Exchange information service in your profile is missing required information. Modify your profile to ensure that you are using the correct Microsoft Exchange information service. Based on my experience, the root cause of the issue may be that some required information in your Outlook Data File (.PST or .OST file) is missing. The best way to fix the issue is to create a new Outlook profile. However, if you think it's a little time consuming, you can also try repairing the Outlook Data Files.

Please let me know the outcomes when you have time. Besides, if you get any error messages when creating a new outlook profile or repairing the Outlook Data Files, please send us a screenshot about it for further checking. To upload a screenshot, please click Use rich formatting > the Insert/Edit Media button.

Dear Mouran,

I heard there is bug which is causing this issue. The only way to over come this issue is to create new outlook profile. However this is not convenient solution for us as we have some users whose average mailbox size is 8GB, it takes good amount of time to update their whole mailbox. I've already had and applied the same solution to the affected users and received negative feedback as they doesn't like to wait whole day till outlook mailbox synchronized fully.

Sadly, I also heard that there is no official fix from Microsoft for this issue, is it true ? Please help me by sharing with me the workaround to fix this problem as more and more users in my organization are getting affected.

As I mentioned in my first post, besides creating a new Outlook profile, you can also try repairing the Outlook Data Files. Please give it a shot as a workaround to see if there is any improvement.

As per the article, i tried to repair the data file but got stuck on this particular point

Start Outlook with the profile that contains the Outlook Data File that you repaired.

As mentioned in the above, to start the outlook with the data file repaired, unfortunately i got only one outlook profile and i started the outlook with the only profile i got and it ends up displaying the same problem.

As there is no multiple profile, i have no idea on how to proceed with the fix up. I tried to open the outlook with the only profile but the problem still persist.

Is there any workaround or more specific documents which help to resolve this issue ?
