Emails from Grays Online Auctions are broken in Outlook.com?

Hey Everyone,

Got a weird situation, where emails from one website come through all garbled and unreadable. Any ideas why this would be; The emails are actually sent to my ISP's email account with Optus, and then I have outlook.com downloading them. Would that be relevant?

- If it's on the web based mail, have you tried clearing your browser's cache and cookies to make sure that it's not a browser issue?

Hi Carol,

Gray's Online (and since I have found a couple of other sources of emails that are getting messed up) are sending normal HTML email which I can recieved into my own Outlook.com account fine; They just get messed up in this other outlook.com account.

Fowarding from the affected account to my account doesn't change anything, they are permanently garbled.

The account in question is usually accessed via Outlook on the desktop; I log into it via the web to check, the garbling shows up everywhere.

Basically, the email has been saved into outlook.com in a garbled fashion, as far as I can tell.

The only difference that I can find is that the affected account is downloading the emails from an Optus Internet pop3 email box. In my case, where it works, I am also downloaded from a pop3 mailbox but one on my web hosting server, not an ISP one.

If the user downloads the emails from Optus via pop3, they are NOT garbled, so they are getting to Optus just fine.

Is it likely that there is some weird incompatability with the Optus mail server that is causing the emails to be garbled?

- How is Optus configured to the affected email account? Could you provide the settings?

- How it is configured on the other account since you said that they are not garbled on emails from Optus via pop3?

- Does this happen on other accounts which have the same configuration as that of the affected email account?
