Downloading emails from Outlook Online client

Why is it still not possible to download an email from the Outlook Online client to your desktop? I can do this from almost ANY other cloud based email -- this is ludicrous!
Hello Cliff,

My name is Alex. Thanks for reaching out! I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I understand how important for you to download an email to your desktop. Can you please check the following link to see if you've already done these steps so far.

Sorry, this is totally NOT what I was asking.

If I am going to try and convert my office to using the online client, it would help if the same type of features were available from it as are from the full outlook client.

Outlook Online does NOT give me an option to save an individual email, or download it to my desktop - this is a basic function that pretty much ALL other online email platforms allow me to achieve.

Backing up the entire email system has NOTHING to do with what I asked.

Why is this feature not available?  If Microsoft had a real cloud strategy, surely they would not make their online client less flexible than the thick client?

I'm sorry if I provided you an answer that is not related to your concern. But what you can do to possibly download emails from Outlook online is to do the FF:

> Go to your inbox and select all the emails you want to download.

> Then on the menu above select the little dots after categories.

> Press print and a print preview file will come up.

> Instead of printing save as a web archive file or text file to your computer.

You can also check this forum that is related to your concern.
