Hello Belfield,
If you are using Outlook desktop client, go to People tab and right click on the contact groups. Select Move -> Copy to folder. If you are using Outlook Web App(OWA), you cannot do it in the browser. Please use Outlook desktop client as a workaround.
If I misunderstand you, please feel free to correct me and let me know your requirements clearly.
Regards,
Rick

Hello,
I am trying to copy a Contact List not a group. The contact list has a list of email addresses for staff and I want to reuse those names add a few more and create a new contact list for the use of sending emails.
when I right click on the contact list, the choices are edit and delete.
How do I know if I am in desktop client version or web?

Hello Belfiedl,
If your interface looks like this, it is Outlook desktop client. You can click New Contact Group to create a group and add your contacts to it for sending emails.
The link of Outlook Web App(OWA) is: http://outlook.office365.com/owa. You can click New contact -> New contact list to create it.
If you still have any problems about, please capture some screenshots for better understanding.
Regards,
Rick

I'm using Office 365 so I'm guessing that is the web based version since my Outlook People section does not look like or have the same options as the sample images in the how to share contact list.
Please let me know how to use or get the desktop client version. Also will using the desktop version change my current version? Will I lose any emails or other data by doing switching. Thank you in advance.

Hello Rick, I have the created the contact lists created already and my screen looks just like what you have posted when you showed how to create the contact list. however, I do not know how to go about getting to the next steps to share. There is no share option and when I right click on the folder, I only see edit and delete. How do I share this contact list? Thank you

Hello Belfield,
It is not feasible to share the contact lists. As a workaround, you can export contact lists to CSV files and send it to others.

Rick
