Constant "Verify Your Account" emails

I got an email from Microsoft Account team to verify my account because of unusual activity. The email is legit, the link sends me to Microsoft.com, but whenever I log in, and go through the security steps to prove it's me, there is no history of any account use since last time I logged in.

This has now been happening for months, where I get an email every few days from Microsoft, but there is no history of anyone using - or even trying to access - my account. Can anyone speculate on what is actually going on?

Hi there! I'm Steve, an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I'm happy to help with your query.

When you review your recent account activity (here: https://account.live.com/Activity) do you see any unsuccessful sign-ins or automatic syncs, even if it's from a location/device that you're expecting?

It could be one of your devices that syncs with your account has an incorrect password which is causing the sign-in or sync to fail and therefore generating the verification request.
