Cannot send mail to contact group. Outlook 14.3.2

I am attempting to send mail to a contact group that I have had On My Computer for several versions of Outlook, but now that I have upgraded to 14.3.2 I am unable to send mail to the group.

When I add the group to the To field in a message and attempt to send, I get the error "EmailAddress or ItemId must be included in the request" and the message gets moved to Drafts.

When I add the group to the To field in a message and click the small arrow icon to expand the group to individual addresses and then attempt to send I get an error stating I cannot send the message due to unresolved recipients and the message sits in the Outbox.

I have reproduced this error with a brand new contact group containing 3 verified email addresses.

Any ideas or workarounds?

I have encountered the same issue and it has been driving me crazy all day.  I have seen other threads started on the 13th when the update came out stating the same issue, but no solutions have been posted.

Running into same problem for us. Not sure if this will help you as you need Exchange & OWA but our quick work around is create email save to drafts, login to OWA and send from there. Not very friendly but hope a fix will come soon.

Thanks so much for the suggestion!  I hadn't even thought about OWA since I use it so seldom.  Worked like a charm taking the draft and getting it out.  This will have to be my method until a fix comes out, but it certainly is easier than sending out hundreds of individual emails.  Thanks again!

I have the same problem!  And I don't know what Exchange or OWA are.  Can someone please send me the steps of how I can send my group email?  Please make it simple, as I myself am pretty simple when it comes to computers.  Thank you very much.

This seems to be a "feature" of the recent update to 14.3.2.

A workaround to handle this issue is to expand the contact group to individual email addresses using the icon with the down arrows in the to or cc field.

Nevertheless this issue should be fixed soon...

Expanding the contact group did not work for us.  Maybe there were too many for it to handle, but the OWA solution works for us in the interim while we wait for the fix.

Same issue. Will send in OWA and expanding the group allows it to be sent.

Hi. I have the same problem sending to my contact groups.

This works for me in OWA but I am unable to insert images into the body of the message. Is there anyway to turn HTML on in OWA?
