Can I turn off the daily digest emails?

At my office, we used to use the thumbs up icon as a way of indicating that we had read the emails WITHOUT needing to send another email stating essentially, "Yes, I have seen this and will do what is on the email." With the new system sending constant Daily Digest emails, we are about to pull our hair out because the email count has gone up and we can't figure out how to make those emails stop.

Do I need go to each email and actually put instructions in place to automatically trash these emails or can we toggle them off?

Hello Olivia Pace,

Good day! Thanks for posting in Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

I understand you want to turn off the daily digest emails. Please note you can do this on an organizational level if you have admin access by following the following steps: sign in to Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Settings > Org settings > services > uncheck the Digest email.

If you want to stop the emails on your mailbox level, you can create a rule to direct these emails to a specific folder, in this case the deleted items as you requested. To create this rule: open your Outlook > click File > Manage Rules and Alerts > New Rule > Move messages from someone to a folder (you can also add ”with specific words in the subject”) > turn on this rule > finish.

You can also choose an option of blocking the sender if you want and the emails will be automatically sent to the Junk folder. Right click on the email > Junk > Block sender.

We look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

Simbarashe | Microsoft Community Moderator
