Dear Anis Hellal,

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

We understand that your Teams meeting recording shows as expired and needs to be retrieved for access again.

We noticed that you shared your phone number with us. Since this information is your private information and the Microsoft community is a public platform, to prevent the leakage of your personal information, we will hide your number.

At the same time, due to the tool limitations of the Microsoft community, we can only communicate with you through text. If you wish to receive help via phone or chat, we suggest you confirm through our online chat department:

This process may include verifying your Microsoft account and other personal information. To avoid disclosing these details on a public forum, I cannot detail your investigation of this situation, but I will guide you to the appropriate place.

Additionally, to further assist you with your Teams meeting recording issue, please share more information with us:

1. Is the account you use to log into Teams your personal account, or is it your work account?

2. Is your account part of a company domain? What is the suffix of the account you use to log into Teams?

3.You mentioned forgetting to save the recording. Did you not store the recording elsewhere before it expired, or was it not saved after recording?

4. Have you received any email notifications about the file expiration?

You can share more details with us, and we will help you further confirm the issue and retrieve the file.

Generally, depending on the type of meeting, the recording content can be used in different locations.

If the recording is from a channel meeting, the content will be processed and saved to SharePoint; if it is any other type of meeting, it will be saved to OneDrive.

You may try logging into OneDrive or checking the Recycle Bin to see if you can find the relevant file.

Dear Anis Hellal,

Thank you for your reply.

Seeing that you indicated that you retrieved the corresponding recording information through OneDrive, you have found the corresponding files. And you indicated that you had previously received the corresponding expired emails, but had ignored them, you can follow up with your email information later.

We are very happy that you have found the appropriate file information, after restoring the recording, the recording will no longer automatically expire, and we recommend that you try to change your recording file to “No expiration date” if you record in Teams in the future.

You can keep the scenario where we suggest you to contact the Microsoft Online Chat department for your reference if you need to contact them in real time later on.

To help other customers who may be facing the same issue, please choose ‘Yes’ underneath the post that had the solution for you. This highlights the information for other customers. Thanks for your cooperation.

Best Regards,
