Hotmail account not synchronizing mails in Outlook

Does this happen even if you start Outlook in Safe Mode? (hold down CTRL while you click the icon) See if this helps:http://www.officeforlawyers.com/outlook/tsol.htm#safe

Have you tried rebooting your machine?

Do you get an error message of any kind?

What kind of account is this?  POP3? IMAP? Hotmail? Exchange? Something else?

I have the same problem!!

 

Office Version: Office 2007 Operating System: Windows 7

 Outlook Connector is up to date and have had no problems receiving mail from my *****.hotmail.***, *****.live.***, or from my POP3 accounts in Outlook 2007, until last week when I can no longer receive mail from my *****.hotmail.*** account, but I can still receive mail from my *****.live.*** and from my POP3 accounts. Tried adding my *****.hotmail.*** as a new account again, synchronised all my folders etc then gives Synchronization error.Server Id: and SSE Error : (8004a164) with no results!! Has Hotmail stopped being synchronised with Outlook???

@ Don't understand why when I click Send/Receive in *** Email address is removed for privacy *** Outlook produces a Synchronization Log!! At least now I am able to receive emails.

 

I have come to the conclusion that there was nothing wrong with my PC or Outlook, but with the Hotmail server as, as the problem miraculously appeared it has miraculously disappeared!!!

 

Wished hotmail would at least inform us of any problems!!!
