Add sorting based on explorer date:modified/created

It would be very helpful to be able to used Explorer-like functions on Powerpoint slide:
Example: small changes for decks with 50 or more slide
Sort or highlight slides based on Date:created/modified

Answer

In theory, this should be possible, but in practice, PowerPoint doesn't currently store any of the needed slide-level information.  That is, it doesn't keep track of when you last edited each slide.

It would be tricky but theoretically possible for a custom-written add-in to store this information on a per-slide basis then use it to sort the slides.

Realistically, Microsoft will only add a feature like this if they feel it would appeal to a large group of users.  Perhaps it would.  You can give that a test by posting it on powerpoint.uservoice.com (a site maintained by Microsoft specifically to accept feature requests from users, and where others can vote on your idea if they like it).
