In outlook 2016 trying to set a calendar reminder I get this: "The reminder will not appear because the item is in a folder that doesn’t support reminders. Is that ok?" Well its not. I have seen answers for older versions of outlook, but not 2016. Help

You're correct. The Control Panel is within Settings. (They don't make it easy anymore, do they?) My son was gracious enough to put a Control Panel icon on my desktop for easy access ;) I just found steps on how to do this here:
