Runtime error '6'

Hi

After i installed a "plug-in program" for office word 2013, i've been getting an 'runtime error 6' from visual basic when word have been launched, and i'm unable to use the functions of the program. I am sure that the program i've installed is compatible with word 2013, and i've tried to update visual basic as well, but nothing seems to work.

Any ideas?

What was the "plug-in program"?  Without know what it was, it is unlikely that anyone can help you other than to suggest that you uninstall it.
Hope this helps,

Allright sorry, it's a free mathematical program called 'Wordmat'

Thanks.

I note from the Wordmat website that one of its weaknesses is:

"Though out of beta. WordMat is a complex program communicating between several different programs. It is not error free."

If you start Word in Safe Mode by holding down the Ctrl key while you start it, while you will not be able to use Wordmat, does the problem go away?

If so, and assuming that is the only Add-in that you have installed, it does point to an error in the Wordmat program.

Take a look at the WordMat FAQ page at http://www.eduap.com/WordMat/FAQ.aspx

and take up the invitation of the creator of the application to send them an email via the Contact link on the website.  In the email I would suggest that you supply as much information as possible, including screen shots of the error message.

Alright, i've done as you told me and send the creator a mail. He answers that he have done test on a 32x version and that it worked perfectly.
I have also tried to start word in safemode, and wordmat doesn't even show then.

Was the creator using Word 2013?  We are aware of a number of issues with the use of nested EQ fields in that version that do not occur in earlier versions and wordmat might be affected by those issues in 2013

I would not expect it to work when Word is started in Safe Mode.  In that mode however did the error occur?

Sorry for not being clear enough, my bad. Yes he was using word 2013 and no the runtime error did not occur in safemode. The runtime error 6 only occurs when wordmat is installed.
