Which outlook.com account/alias to add to outlook 2013?

I wanted to migrate from my own Exchange server to outlook.com, but I'm unable to add my account. I've tried setting up the following:
Your name: <my name>
E-mail address: <one of my outlook.com aliases>

Mail server: m.outlook.com

User name: <the user name I log onto outlook.com webmail with> (in my own domain)
Password: <the password I log onto outlook.com webmail with>

I've tried all kinds of combination, but they all return the same from Test Account Settings: "Log onto Exchange ActiveSync mail server (EAS): The username or password you entered isn't working. Please try typing them again."

Could someone help me find which outlook.com alias I should use? I'd really appreciate it, and it would be great to be able to put my exchange server to rest ;)

Answer

if you are adding an address set up using domains.live.com or a non-MS address set up as a Microsoft account (liveid) you need to set it up manually and use m.hotmail.com as the EAS server name.

You can not use an alias - it needs to be the account you use to sign in online with.
