Outlook 2013 and iCloud Control Panel 3.1 for Windows - Contact issues

New Dell Inspiron 15 7537, running Windows 8.1.  I am using iCloud for both calendar and contacts, synced to Outlook 2013 with iCloud Control Panel 3.1 for Windows.  This works great to sync to ipad/iphones.  It also shows well in Outlook 2013.  I can see the calendar and it syncs within seconds.  I can also see th contacts and it syncs quickly too.  However, when I go to draft an email and then try and type in a contact, Outlook will not find the contact.  It doesn't show that I have any contacts when I click on the "to:" button in the draft email.  It is nice to see the contacts in Outlook 2013 but if it will not auto-populate, it does me no good.  Is there any way to get it to auto-populate in Outlook?  I can start from the icloud contact in Outlook and create an email that way but that just doesn't work long-term.  Thanks!

Answer

Hi Dale,

Make sure the Outlook Contact folder is enabled as an email address book.

To do this, right-click the Contacts folder, choose Properties then Outlook Address Book > Enable the option 'Show this folder as an email address book'.

If this option is greyed out, then create a new Outlook profile and check if it helps.

To know how to create a new profile for Outlook, refer to the link below:
