Trouble loading Office 2013 error code 30045-11

I tried to load Office 2013 to my new laptop but when registering it would not allow me to change the time zone and claimed my date of birth was invalid. I left the timezone as it was (different country), thinking I could fix it later, but then it wouldn't load anyway. After speaking to a Microsoft office consultant I was informed that as I had tried to register in the wrong country it was blocked and there was nothing they could do. Fortunately the store I purchased the Office package from agreed to exchange the software for another. I have now tried to load the new Office and it is not working - error code 30045-11. What do I need to do to get this to load, incredibly frustrated with Microsoft and wishing I had stuck with Mac.....any suggestions welcome...
