Hi Luciano,

Method: 1

You may repair Office 2013 using the following link and verify the status:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/repair-or-remove-office-2010-HA010357402.aspx

Method: 2

It shows one security update for Microsoft Excel 2013 in the list, you may uninstall the same and restart the computer and check if Excel works fine as expected.

I hope the above information helps. Let us know if you need further assistance.

Thank you.

Hello Luciano,

I know how hard it is if Office application does not work as expected.

Since Repair did not help, you may uninstall and reinstall Office 2013 on the computer and check if that resolves the issue.

Once you reinstall Office 2013 try to install the updates one by one and check if it works fine as expected.

I hope it helps. Reply if you need further assistance.

Thank you.

I just ran into this problem although im running W7x32 with Office 2013.  In my case uninstalling KB2827238 fixes the checkboxes.  I will note that when the update installs, it shows up 4 different times under installed updates and I had to uninstall all 4 before the problem was fixed.  If I reinstall that update it breaks again.

Perfect!  Thanks so much, Dave.

Mine is working normally again but I think it was after some further updates.  I have been busy and traveling so hard to tell what fixed it but my guess is in a later updated this got taken care of.

I did uninstall a bunch of the fixes originally but had not worked so hence I am guessing later fixes got it back to normal.  sorry I dont have any further info but here are all the updates I have in if you want to try and track back.

I have the same problem with Excel 2013 on Windows 8.1.  I don't have the fixes specified above.  If it has been fixed on Windows 8 it has not been replicated to 8.1

Cheers

David

I have the same problem as do many others in my office. It's obviously a bug.
