Images keeps disappering (the image part with relationship ID rId13 was not found in the file)

I kept losing my images, they are kept in the same folder and on a removable drive.

I've seen a couple of other similar posts. It seems as if there is a problem with handling of DOCX format. If you aren't using any of the 2010 new features, you might want to try falling back to DOC format.

It would be helpful if you can upload a sample file (images / word doc on a common FTP site like sky drive) so that we can test the same.

After reading through your post, I feel that the cause of the issue might be file corruption (Document / images that are inserted)

From where do you copy the picture and paste?

Create a local copy of the picture and save it on the computer; try inserting the image in the other word document and check if the issue persists.

Check the same in a different computer in which Office 2010 is installed and verify the issue. If it works fine repair Office 2010 from Control panel> Programs and features and verify the issue.

If the issue occurs only if it is saved as .DOCX, check the article below.

The question that Stefan posted to the PowerPoint forum had one response, but there is no indication from him whether or not that overcame the problem.
