I sell my services, but a lot of the people who email me for help have a problem I know the fix for and they can fix it themselves. Yeah, I'm a really bad business person. <g>
In Control panel, Program and Features, click View installed Updates. sort by Name. Look for "Service pack 2 for Microsoft office" in the list of Microsoft office updates. Right click to uninstall it. It will get reinstalled, but many times the second install goes better because its the only update being installed.
If Service pack 2 really isn't listed, you can either uninstall the updates that were installed in Sept or try repairing office. Select Office then click the Change button, then Repair.

I've trimmed back my plugins to what I think I can't get rid of, and they're all updated.
- Adobe Acrobat, Java Platform SE 7 U25, Microsoft Office 2010, Microsoft DRM, npFFApi, Shockwave Flash (current labs release), VLC Web Plugin, Windows Presentation Foundation

Event ID 27, "Calendar Folder property is missing," after you apply Office 2010 SP2:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2883156/en-us?sd=rss
Event 27 isn't the problem. Event 27 is an annoying error post sp2 and post September outlook security update but for the benefit of others - it's not what is causing any freezes.

OK, I've read thru 6 months of posts and mostly mindless stabs at solutions, ENOUGH YAK YAK YAK. This problem is prevalent enough, with plenty of users' systems affected that MS should step-in, DIAGNOSE, AND PRODUCE AN OFFICIAL SOLUTION so that a lot of users can stop talking to each other AIMLESSLY.
THE PROBLEM: OUTLOOK: "Calendar folder is missing" , Event ID 27
NOTE: many posts point to SP-2, I have only SP-1, never had SP-2, and I have this ERROR.
IF YOU ARE READING THIS AND NOT A Windows 7 OR MS OUTLOOK ADVANCED TECH, PLEASE DEFER, AND PROMOTE TO ADVANCED TECH OR SUPERVISOR.
THANKS FOR YOUR COOPERATION.
PLEASE PUBLISH A FINAL SOLUTION.
