Q: Outlook 2010. Unable to send\receive, Error 0x800CCCDD

Ever since buying Office 2010 I have had nothing but problems, the latest being the follwing:

idle for too long
 Protocol: IMAP
 Server: imap.neuf.fr
 Port: 143
 Error Code: 0x800CCCDD

I had this issue recently with my gmail account. I just re-added the account manually using POP instead of IMAP and all problems went away. I don't even see one single benefit of using IMAP, so I'll never use it again.

Remove the email account and re-add the account and check the status, if this does not help, create a new profile for Outlook and add the account and check.
