Outlook 2010 downloading duplicate emails over and over.

Hi,  Outlook 2010 is downloading duplicate emails over and over again. I have the setting enabled to "Leave a copy of messages on the server" - I require this for my environment.  When I take this setting off, Outlook does not download duplicate emails and works correctly.  However I require this setting to be enabled.

I have installed Office Professional Plus 2010 and installed the entire office suite. 

I have found another case with the exact same problem using Outlook 2003: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/885870   Microsoft resolved the issue by bring out Service Pack 2.  However this issue still persists on Outlook 2010.

Hi All.

I was the person who created the original post.  After all the suggestions above I am still having this issue.  A few of my colleagues are having the exact same problem.

Tried the following: Clean install of office 2010, Upgrade from 2007 to 2010, Clean install of my operating system Win7 64bit Enterprise, Latest windows and Office updates.

Solution: Uninstalled 2010 and reverted back to 2007. For my current suituation I have to the checkbox checked "Leave a copy on the server"    However if anybody else has more suggestions, please post them.

Are you guys using POP3 and mutiple accounts? How is delivery configured - one PST for all or one for each account? There is a bug they are trying to solve where multiple accounts delivered to one pst (with messages left on server) are not remembering the downloaded messages. The temp fix is to deliver to separate pst files. (Not leaving on server will also fix it.)
