After running scanpst utility there is a gap of missing emails

Original title: Missing emails

Users PST file was corrupted in Nov so someone started a new one. It too got corrupted. When I looked at it, I ran the Scanpst utility and it fixed the Original PST file and mail started going into it again. I repaired the second PST and its viewable BUT there is a gap of missing emails from early Feb through the end of March. No idea where those emails went. Its a POP3 account so they can recover.

I was to combine these two PSTs and have her go to the original one. Also need her to better manage folders as she has over 4000 emails combined between the two PSTs. Thanks,

Answer
Yes, they are on a network.

The long and short of the above is that "PST files on a network share are not supported and prone to errors". Doesn't mean you can't do it and doesn't mean that you necessarily will end up with a corrupt PST file but if you decide to use that approach then you are doing so purely at your own risk.
