Here are several techniques to uninstall Office. You've already tried the easy one.

4 Uninstall Techniques tools for Office 2010 / 2007 / 2003 / Mac 2011 / Mac 2008 via: Control Panel / Fix it / Trouble Shooter / Manually http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301  (no %temp%)

·         Note: if  uninstall of Click to Run Starter does not work:

·         Start run window: <Win R>

·         Start Services dialog: services.msc

·         Locate ‘Client Virtualization”

·         Right click, select Properties.

·         Set Startup type to disabled and Stop the service.

·         Repeat FIX IT from KB 290301

1.          If that doesn't work, then try this more aggressive uninstall (followed by re-install) procedure:

FIX IT- Cannot Un / Install a Program in Windows - http://www.askvg.com/fix-cannot-uninstall-a-program-or-cannot-install-new-programs-in-windows/

FIX IT- How do I uninstall the 2010 / 2007 / 2003 Office suites if I cannot uninstall it by using the "Add or Remove Programs" feature? - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971179

Uninstall techniques for Office 2007 Office - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928218 (%temp%)

For 2010 clean up procedure remains the same, just have to make some number substations:

Change all references to Office suites:
Office 2002 = Office 10.0
Office 2003 = Office 11.0
Office 2007 = Office 12.0
Office 2010 = Office 14.0

The best way to clean the  %temp% folder is after a reboot, so if you are planning to reboot, hold off on that step or repeat the %temp% cleanup after reboot

·         open the run window:  <win>< R>   (or the Start Menu search window)

·         type %temp%,

·         press <ENTER>,

·         Windows Explorer opens in the TEMP folder

·         Select all files: <CTL> <A>

·         <Delete>

·         For any files in use, just SKIP them

·         For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003, click Start, click Run, type %AllUsersprofile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Office\Data, and then click OK.
