Direct link to download Office 2010 - HUP?

I'm taking a college course for which I need to have MS Office 2010 running on my home computer.  My home computer is running on Windows Vista.  I saw a PDF announcement on my employer's intranet that said we could get MS Office 2010 for $9.95, but when I clicked on the link they provided, I was taken to Microsoft's offer for Office 2013.  My HUP program code does work when I enter it on that page, but since I'm running Vista, I can't use Office 2013 without upgrading my OS, and I don't want to do that.

Is there still a way to download the MS Office 2010 suite using HUP?

Hello Rosie,

Welcome to Microsoft Community and thank you for posting the question.

Yes, you may download the Office suite from the following installation media backup website using the product key and see it helps:

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/products/microsoft-office-2010-backup-FX101853122.aspx

Note: You may save the copy of Office executable file for future use.

I hope this information helps. Reply with the necessary information and I’ll be glad to help you.

Thank You.

In addition to what Daniel has mentioned, your best hope is to check with your employers, i am not sure if the HUP program is still active.
You could contact support over phone and check with them.

Yes, the HUP is still active. It has moved on to delivering Office 2013. I have not heard if there is any way of requesting Office 2010 because that is the corporate standard.

Rosie, if you do get a 2010 copy to install using the HUP product key, please let us know exactly step by step how you did it. Other people are asking the same question would like to know.

The only way I can think of for you to get the answer is go to the HUP site, find the "Contact US" link and talk to them.  Or get your manager to ask your IT department to ask the question.  Maybe your IT department has the installation file.

Note: you will not be able to use a Product Key associated with a 2013 download to activate a 2010 installation file.  Product Keys are specific to the year/version (2010 vs 2013) as well as the exact Office bundle (Office Pro vs Office Pro Plus).

I don't have a 25 digit product key which is required in order to download MS Office via the link you provided; I only have a 10 digit program code.  Therefore, I am unable to download the software.  :(

That "program code" sounds like the number you need to buy a new copy of of the HUP, ie from

http://www.microsofthup.com/hupca/home.aspx?country_id=CA&culture=en-US

You could also try their help contact for more info:

https://www.microsofthup.com/hupus/contactus.aspx---click on Customer Support and then Contact Us. There is a Drop Down field at the top to select the country you live in. Note: the site is run by Digital River for MS

Hi Daniel,

I saw this posting and I am having the same type of issue except since I purchased Office 2010 in 2012 my employer is no longer affiliated with HUP.  I too have a new laptop that i want to reinstall 2010 but when I use the product key it says it is not valid.  Will the same process above assist me as well?

Thank you for your help in advance,

Mary Elizabeth Lewis

You are out of luck.

If your company is no longer paying for the HUP service (SA) then you can no longer use your HUP license.

Hi Roise,

I had just seen your question regarding the office 2010. If that would help you marked my comment as an answer. If it is not let me know I try to find some other solution for your problem. Here is the direct download link of the Office 2010.
