Table Of Content, how to add Roman Numerals?

Evening,

I have a word document set up so the first few pages are Roman numerals then it goes into regular numbers for 40pages then back to Roman.

Howeven, the table of content won't show roman numerals. It just shows regular numbers, so how do I fix this?

Thanks for any help.

How did you set up the page numbers in the document?

If you have a Section Break between the 40 pages that are numbered with the arabic numberiing and the following pages and the page numbers were formatted using the Format Page Number dialog, the Table of Contents should display the page numbering as it appears on the pages.

At least it does here in a test that I just made.
