Meeting request is out of date

Meeting invite (series) on my calendar.   When the organizer makes a date change or cancels this meeting I receive an email that gives me an error message "The meeting request is out-of-date and will now be deleted".  If I select "ok" the meeting is deleted from my calendar and I have to manually update on my calendar.  My email has a message above the attendee list " This meeting request was updated after this message was sent.  You should open a later update or open the item on the calendar." I don't have any other invite or update in my inbox to go back to a later update.   Why am I getting this message?  What steps are required short of deleting the calendar series is needed to fix this issue.  (No one else is receiving this error.  Recent upgrade to Windows 2007)  Any questions - email me :*** Email address is removed for privacy ***  Thanks!
