meaning of X-MS-OL-DESIGN;CHARSET=utf-8:

what is the meaning of X-MS-OL-DESIGN;CHARSET=utf-8: ........... at the end of every vCard using MS Outlook,usually 3rd last line.and how does this influence the entire vcard (the charset i mean).is it default and should not be altered?

No, it only applies to the custom X-MS-OL-DESIGN attribute of the vCard-file which stands for the layout of the (graphical) Business Card as shown in Outlook.
