Convert a backup .ost file to .pst file WITHOUT using Outlook's "Import and Export" function.

I have an archived .ost file from 2007 Outlook from a previous computer that is dead.  I need to access the email from that file on a non-exchange computer with Outlook 2003 (though I'm soon updating to 2007) which keeps telling me that it needs a .pst file.  How can I convert the .ost file to a .pst file so that it can be read on my present computer?  Again, I can't use the Import and Export function in Outlook.

An ost only works with the account that created it. If the account is long gone, you will need to use a 3rd party utility to convert it. See for more information and links to utilities.
